BIOGRAPHY
I'm from a small farm town in the southwest where I was born and raised. There I work three jobs and attend the local college. I love spending time with my family, watching movies and playing games. In my spare time I enjoy playing dungeons and dragons and reading, I read pretty much anything, but fantasy is what I am typically drawn to. For as busy as I am with my jobs and school, writing is where my heart is.
When I was in high school, I never really enjoyed English class. It would take me days to write a one-page essay, it wasn't until one of my closest friends introduced me to D&D that I began to enjoy writing backstories for my character. At first, I didn't notice that I had a particular skill for writing. It wasn't until my mom pointed out that she watched me type three pages of a backstory in thirty minutes-in contrast to my homework assignments that took significantly longer-that I realized my affinity for it. It was then that I started coming up with stories though I never planned to pursue them. The realist side of my brain told me that it was a terrible idea-there are no guarantees in this career. But after I returned from serving a mission for my church, I decided that it was worth trying, even if it didn't work out.
I don't want to live with the regret of failing to even try pursuing my passions. So, here I am giving it my best shot!
